Family sessions

How do family sessions work with me?

After we have locked in a date & time we will then choose a location if it is in Merredin, I have a few beautiful spots to choose from. 

I travel anywhere, travel charges do apply outside of Merredin.

I do most of my sessions in the later afternoon/evening just before sunset to ensure the perfect lighting for your images as well as facing west.

If you would prefer early morning, it would need to be at sunrise to have the same effect only I will be facing mostly east.

Not sure what to wear? I have a page in my website dedicated to just that!

Once we have that all sorted and it comes to photo day, don’t panic about feeling awkward or not knowing how to stand although I do know how that feels! I will guide you through your session with different poses or moving family around where I see it looks best, most of the time it looks great when everyone is nice and close together. I also like to get some candid shots of everyone just chatting or having a laugh, playing with the kids etc sometimes these are the best images, just everyone being themselves!

I like to try get the best smiles or laughter out of not only kids but adults too!

For the kids I will sing songs, pull faces and do silly dance moves.

We can also move to a different spot within the location of choice to change up the background in the images. If you have any inspo pics you would like to replicate, I am always up for something new and different.

Once the photo session is finished and within 1 week I will post a few previews on my socials if you give permission for me to, if not that is totally ok with me too and I can send them privately to you.

I will then go through and do a light edit on the best images from the session and upload them to my website in a private gallery within 2 weeks, possibly 3 if it's my busy time of the year. Once I have done that I will send through a link, a password and give you some short instructions on how to view and choose your images.

Once you have finished choosing, let me know and I will access your favourite album and finish the editing process, get them on a USB and organise the prints. When finished and ready to go you can either collect from me, I can drop off to you or I can post them in the mail. 

Newborn session

The comfort and safety of your new little bundle is my utmost concern. I take my time to ensure that baby is content throughout your newborn session, to produce magical images that will last a lifetime. Please see below on how to best prepare for your photo day and what to expect from your newborn session with me.

Because babies don't eat, sleep, cry and poo on a schedule, you can be assured that our newborn session will go with the flow.

I don't want you to feel pressured for time or worry that you won't get the beautiful images that you envision. My newborn sessions don't have a fixed duration and can often go for two to three hours.

I never keep photographing when baby is getting grizzly and clearly wants their Mum. I have two girls myself and I remember all too well how tricky those early weeks of feeding and settling can be. So please, take all the time you need to ensure that bub is fed and contented. In saying that I do love a newbie snuggle and am always happy to bottle feed and/or rock back to sleep!

I take the safety of your precious newbie very seriously. I will take my time and utmost care when gently handling your little babe for different poses, sets and wrapping. I have a vast collection of newborn backdrops, props, wraps, cute little bonnets and so many headbands. I will usually begin with by capturing family and sibling photos (if required), before moving onto solo snaps of your precious new arrival.

What to bring?

Nappy bag, wipes, bottles and all the essentials; snacks and water for yourself and siblings; any specialities that you would like captured in baby's photos, like an heriloom/handmade outfit, blanket or soft toy that may hold special or sentimental meaning.

Events

Have you got an event coming up? Why not hire a professional to take the stress out of getting all those memories captured for you! I have a few different packages, if what you are after isn't in there, send me a message and I can give you a quote.

I try to be like a fly on the wall and get your candid shots where no one is looking, capturing their smiles and laughter or if you have a special backdrop I will try and convince everybody to get together for a photo.

Whether it is for a Birthday party, Ladies Long Lunch, Engagement party, community event or even a corperate event I can be there to capture a portion of the day or night so it one less thing for you to worry about!
